What Causes Nose to Mouth Lines?
When we smile, talk, laugh, smoke, we make folds and wrinkles in the skin from constant movement of the muscles underneath it.
As we get older the skin becomes thinner and begins to sag, meaning these lines and creases are more pronounced – and permanent. This occurs because, as we age, natural collagen production lowers and other factors such as sun exposure, smoking and diet reduce skin’s ability to snap back into place. Nose to mouth lines are the deep furrows that appear next to our mouths from laughing, smiling or talking.
Nose to Mouth Lines Treatment Effects?
The most commonly performed cosmetic treatment for nose to mouth lines is dermal filler treatment. Dermal fillers such as Juvederm® or Restylane® are injected into the nose to mouth lines to plump up the skin and fill the lines, making them far less pronounced. The dermal filler is made of either a synthetic or natural substance, which is completely safe to inject directly into the skin. The effect of the fillers can last for up to one year, although the effects are temporary and will have to be ‘topped-up’ to ensure your fresh, plump and beautiful appearance is maintained.
Nose to Mouth Line Treatment – What Does it Involve?
At our cosmetic clinic in London, we use the latest dermal filler technique with cannula, which means it causes minimal pain and trauma during the treatment. About 15-20 minutes before the dermal filler treatment is administered a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the skin. The dermal filler is then injected by a skilled doctor in very precise locations along the problem nose to mouth line area. The skin is then massaged to disperse the gel under the skin and to allow for a smooth finish. There is no down time and you will able to carry on with your day as normal.
Nose to mouth line treatments cost from £260, from our highly qualified and experienced doctor.
